Alien Feeding Chamber / The Escape

I started a couple of other 'simple' ideas earlier today that, in classic Jai style, quickly evolved into not-so-simple ideas, so this song is a result of a last minute stern "Jai! Just keep it simple!" talk to myself.

As this came together, I imagined it as a scene of a human waking from a sedative, trying to assess what has happened and slowly realizing they're trapped in some sort of alien feeding environment, with humans all around tethered between ceiling and floor with organic matter. They hear a scream and turn to see a large quadrupedal insect-like alien eating the abdomen of another human while still alive. They struggle to try and free themself and begin their attempt to escape. Did they make it...? Were they caught...? Who knows...? tongue

The choice to go with acoustic drums instead of electronica is a little influence from Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds, which was in the back of my mind while imagining the scene.

Really like those top synths.

Nice ambiance with the top choirs as well. Fun listen.

Love the acoustic drums, they really ground it well. The synth sounds are lovely throughout and you build a great tension that turns to action as soon as the drums hit. Top notch lore too!
