Residuum

With family still visiting for the week, I spent the last day (to-day) working on this.  An ambient sorta cine-field thingy.... I downloaded a few ferry field recordings from freesound.org as well as a chunk of random burmese monks chanting that I sliced in.  Sorry for the lack of a proper description my brain isn't functioning lately tongue  Thanks again for listening!

here's the link to the original 6min field recording if you're curious about le monks smile

Chill and meditative.  I think the Burmese monks would be totally down with this.

Mellow and timeless. Subliminal, even.

love the bass tones. cool stuff

This is gorgeous.  Would not be out of place on the The Social Network soundtrack.

Really beautiful. Lush and dramatic. The monk vocal down in the mix is very well placed.

It's so haunting.

chills - beautiful piece!

This is great, love freesound.org for some inspiration, agree with orangedrink definitely channeling some Trent Reznor here

Thanks so much everyone for listening!  Freesound.org is definitely a cool place for finding inspiration when needed.  The burmese monks fitting in with the progression was kind of just a happy accident that I made a few edits to.  I think I was trying to do a V.A.S.T or Moby's "My Weakness" sort of feel and instead got this smile Def appreciate the Rez comparison smile cheers!

Well done. I found the pacing and layering to be very thoughtful and very musical. A joy to the very end.

Tone you're such a master of "simplicity". Don't want to call your music simple, but you're not afraid of sparse melodic/harmonic work and it's so refreshing to me. Mix is superb!
