Efflorescence

I tried to keep myself as calm and quiet this week.  Unfortunately my afib disagreed with me every morning this week except for Friday which I guess cuz casual friday. S'right! s'right!  I told myself to "just stay busy" and distract myself with things that keep the ol noggin occupado.  So lots of album exploring.  Of course I dove into the Traveling Wilburys' catalog and documentary.  They looked so happy recording together.  Jammed a bit to "Congratulations".  Then I branched off into listening to some Beatles, Tom Petty, Elliott Smith, Sean Lennon & ELO.
Oh and checked out a podcast going over Mr. Blue Sky and had fun playing along smile

Daydreamed a bit about what today's super-group of those kinda singer/songwriters would look/sound like.  Then I tried out a new plugin called Refractions.

It can spit whatever audio it gets out into lil delays and such but it also has this nice shimmer effect.  So I totally zoned out for a good two hours just hearing how it affected the rhodesy sounds in my Roland.  So this week's quick noodle is me just havin a therapeutic jam reflecting on the good stuff this year that has taken place.  No focus on the negative this week.  Well at least just pushing it aside and remembering there are still good things to look forward to smile  heart
Appts and Fam visiting this week, oh i feel another noodle on da horizon tongue

A therapeutic jam indeed, for the listener as well.  It's a great noodle, to me it sounded grounded but let my imagination just wander. I can imagine you'd zone out with these sounds, super chill and oddly nostalgic.
I have no idea what a contemporary super group like the Wilbury's would look like today but I hope Tom Waits is on vocals.  Take care of yourself man and lean into the calm where you can.

oof - so sorry about the afibs! not cool!
what IS cool is this gorgeous track. the refractions on the epiano are soooo tasty. i could listen to you play all evening. in fact, i listened to this one 3 times in a row cuz i wasn't ready to leave this world.

here's to healing and rest and positive refractions this week  heart

Oh wow the viiibes on that Rhodes sound. That tone is magic, and played with such subtle nuance and beautiful timing, this has a soothing effect. This feels like a cat gently sleeping in the sun. Enjoy your time and always lovely to get to enjoy your music!

My god. That Rhodes sound with the right amount of reverb is absolute magic.
Love this.

Sorry to hear the afibs have been afflicting you.  Sounds like you had a good week of listening to music though.  Can't complain about that playlist.  This track is super soothing and the texture of the Rhodes is fantastic.  Definitely a good one to bring some chilled out positive vibes.

Super super lovely Rhodes piano piece. So relaxing and pleasing to the ear. Efflorescence is also the name of a fantastic Oceansize record wink. Sorry to hear about the afib issue, but at least you got something nice out of the weekend smile

Thank you for this heavenly beautiful vibes. This Rhodes sound suites you very much. I hope the Afib will be treated soon. Take care.

Beautiful noodling once again, friend. big_smile

Wonderful. Noodle more please. I'm all seriousness this was a hell of a week with two dog emergencies - they're okay, if not expensive - and a lack of sleep and tonight this was just a very pleasant, relaxing, lovely little improvisation to calm the soul with a cup of tea, thank you heart

Man, this is just beautiful.  I'm a sucker for a good E-Piano sound... and the tone here is wonderful.  Fits the slightly wondering and joyful feel of the harmony perfectly.  Lovely as always.

This is absolutely lovely. Like wandering in a tree-filled park near dusk in late summer. A little breeze in the air.

Also, big up for Travelling Wilburys. I've looked into the story behind them...they all genuinely liked and admired each other. And it showed in the music. "End of the Line" is a celebration of life.

Don't have to be ashamed of the car I drive
I'm just glad to be here, happy to be alive
It don't matter if you're by my side
I'm satisfied

you and slycmyk and horatiou are my piano heroes, just FYI

ELO?  SEE I told you you were Lynne!  heart

Beautiful bell tone of the 73 Rhodes with the absolute perfect mix of reverb, vibrato, and EQ.  Your expressive playing emphasizing the space between the notes makes this such a joy to listen to over and over and over.

This was really nice to listen to. It really does have a nice calming effect, glad you made this! I really like how the improvisation moves throughout.

So pleasant, this is like a warm hug for your ears, thank you, the Rhodes always sounds so good, nice touch with adding some play with that plugin.  All the best until next week, I hope you start to feel better soon.

mr blue sky was stuck in my head for weeks after that episode!
i do hope you are feeling better

this piece is really beautiful - it feels like a new kinda space for you - dig it

Jeez this is lovely. Feels like returning home and just letting the mind slow down a bit. Sounds like a great week of listening! Wishing you good health and some calm.
