All I Had Hoped For

By Tone Matrix on November 20, 2022 10:51 pm

The chords from Sufjan Stevens' "The Owl & the Tanager loosely inspired this one.  I was hearing more for the piano but unfortunately the ol fingers were stubbornly creaking about.  So the melody became a bit more ambient.  That octave sometimes seems a bit farther than it really is on the keyboard tongue  Thanks for listening I hope you are warm and cozy this evening!

Damn, what an awesome feel to this one.  Can definitely hear the Sufjan influence.  Totally loving the groaning synths in the back too.

Cinematic and peaceful.  It does seem to recall the majesty of isolated places like mountain tops.

these melodies and chords work so fine together. this track is telling a romantic and tragic story musically. you are gifted to do such wonderful touching music. thanks.

feels like hanging on a cloud heart

The piano is so deliciously subtly played. It's like the notes very delicately sound, like small drops into a calm water (especially during the intro).

Wow this is beautiful!

Oooh, I love this, this feels real good, you're a piano wizard
- Ebrit

Perfect balance of the pads with the piano, such a pleasure to hear this, really gets your mind recharged after listening, thank you.

oh wizard you have that gift sufjan has where your music his held in a sort of delicate balance with immense emotion - this is a really beautiful track  - hold onto hope friend heart

again, loving how you are using that "bowed note" to really seal the tension.
