4 Weekly Beats 2024 Bloom

It's only Week 4? Man, this pace is going to be hard to keep up! But in the push to get this done there were lots of happy accidents and I learned quite a bit. Thank you for listening!

Nice full stereo spread, nicely mixed I think! Thank you

i have that thought too sometimes like, sure it was nice to do 4 but can i even keep this up? I think we just need to take each week as it comes and it will work out fine. That's at least what i am telling myself.

This sounds really good, the rhythm section plays really nice against the high end. enjoyed the listen, strong week 4, favorited!

Has a great forward-moving feeling, I liked how often a variation would arrive, like a different bass, pad, beat, etc. Things alway felt cohesive but never a dull moment. The chimes/bells around 1:10 fit perfectly.

i agree with the above ^ you always have lots of interesting variations and development in your tracks. i like how it goes to a sort of moodier vibe in the second half. you definitely seem to put a lot of work into your tracks! i'm curious about your workflow, re: your comment in the description. are you making something new every week or do you have several works in progress at a given time?

this is really nice, great variations, great mix, kinda dancey, upbeat vibe

Thank you! I do take my time trying to find a space for different elements in the mix. I appreciate you noticing.

Yes, one week at a time. And it is nice to communicate with others who are thinking about it in the same way. Thanks for the compliments! I appreciate it!

Yes, I am trying to bring new elements in at a cadence that feels right. And I'm glad you mentioned the chimes! I loved those so much, I had to bring them in at the end too!

Thank you! To answer your question, I make something new every week. And, yes, I am putting a lot of work into these! Probably too much! I am sure there will be a week in the near future where I submit something very simple. But as long as I have the time, I am going to try to produce the best track I can in a week. As far as process goes, I think I am able to bring in those variations as the track develops because my first draft is often one big loop, like what you hear in the second drop or chorus, so I know everything will fit together in the end. I play around with that loop in Ableton's Session View until I find which parts work well together in smaller groups. Then I flip to Arrangement View and start to decide which parts come in when.

Thank you! Those are all things I am going for, so it is very encouraging to receive a compliment reflecting that.

When that 2:20 hit, so good. Very enjoyable, lovely layers.

Thank you, Raioh! I'm all about the layers and I like how that 2:20 hit came together too. Thanks!
