Alone In The Dar

By theskyis256k on January 25, 2026 3:11 pm

***Warning: Some listeners might find sections of this track uncomfortable due to some high frequency tones***

A melodic piece i wrote earlier in the week while jamming on the OP-XY.
"Alone in the Dar" is a play on words of the title "Alone In The Dark" where "Dar" in Arabic means house.
It was late at night alone in my house in the dark and the mood of the track reflects very much the vibe i was in at the time.

The end result is a live take recorded through the OP-1's CWO FX then taken into Ableton for some extra layers of spacial sound duplication and FX.

Great CWO tones, I'd forgotten how formant-y it can get, almost sounds like a QPAS.

So many gems in that lil OP-1 that people, including me,  have forgotten about.
glad you liked it 🙂

Sparkly, smooth and inspiring while adding some of that nice playful op-1 touch.

Love it

thanks buddy heart I should probably share this in the TE discord since it's pretty much 100% TE gear related tongue

The first two minutes are so nice. They sound like an early The XX song or something.

such a beautiful spacey vibe heart

Appreciate the warning!!! I really like the textures and the little kind of vinyl pops sprinkled sparingly throughout.
