I did some work on an old project again. Feels like there is so much more to do.

There are many place this can go, so what do you intend to do?

Plan: split this one up into 2-3 songs, and fix some composition things that bug me, then go work on parts 3 and 4 that are also in the raw unedited project.

Reality: haha. sad

Not a very in-depth plan. I was thinking of turning it into a rock song.

These things don't work out for me in practice. If I wanted to make it into a rock song, I would have to re-record it from scratch with similar themes and melodies but totally different approach with sound etc. It would not even be the same song anymore.

Besides, did you expect me to give you a 10 page overview of what's going to happen? I prefer to make music, not write about making music, sorry to disappoint you.

Nah, but the plan seems to be mostly what it is already, but more of it, going more after minutia than someplace else. Which is fine, you're probably the one who notices issues more so than I do, and you want it to be the best it can be for you, so you should do the things that need doing.

You'd be surprised what you can do with a snare drum and a guitar riff alone with what you've got.
