Been rolling thru some stuff. Lots on my plate. I haven't been finding the time to make music lately, but some inspiration cradled me last night. Been hanging out with someone, and she said her brother (Thad) makes some music. I asked to hear and she sent a few of his projects. I really liked them. There was this one chiptune track, just some nice rhythmic chords and a catchy melody. It made me happy just listening to it, and brought me back to when I was getting seriously into LSDJ. I wanted to just run with it and see what I could do with that starting point.
The chiptune melody at the beginning is all Thad's. I had fun crafting some beats with it and messing with the sample. It felt good to sit down for a while and make music again. There's a lot more I could do with it, but I figured this could exist as my contribution to WB for the week.
I'm not putting too much pressure on myself to participate in every submission this year. Right now there are many other things in my life that are taking priority. And I'll get to music when I can.
