I gave myself a prompt, where I wanted to try and use a bunch of samples from some people's Week 3 submissions. I filtered the list by "Music that allows derivative works" and proceeded to listen to a bunch of tracks and sampled from the ones that caught my ear.

Composed on the Dirtywave M8, with some edits and additional layers in GarageBand.

Not every sound in this track is from those samples, but a good chunk of them are.
I liked working within this parameter. It was a fun challenge to try and see how all these pieces could fit together. Which parts I wanted to use for structure and other parts for ornamentation or reinforcement, or just interesting sound.

Here's the list of tracks I sampled from, please give these artists a listen. Every week I look forward to hearing so many people's creations. I have been having a lot of fun and am looking forward to all this music for the rest of the year.

Hell yeah! So cool to hear bits of my work. Well done 👏👏

This sounds funky. Maybe better in a major key, but still really neat.

Damnnnnn, really cool to hear all the samples combined in a really unique and interesting way. You got some badass production skills.

Groovy. And very stereo.

this is very cool concept and the result sound very good! the wubs are nice too. nicely done!

Super cool idea and love the dreamy atmosphere all the samples get to live in.  That sparkly strummed synth sounds especially nice.  Love the half-time sorta feel the drums take about midway thru.  Excelente producion skilz.  Oh that bass wub wub!

I really like this idea, and it made for a really great result.  Very cool.

Supergood! Excellent work.

The structure and sound of the song are cool.

Great idea, and what a nice groove, flowing track! I see some artists you sampled I haven't heard yet, I'll go check them. So many little tasty edits, and details. Nice one!

oof, funky af, that wubby bass is so good.

Dude, this is absolute wizardry... Your sample work here is just unbeatable!!! Phenomenal work!!!

super cool conceptual approach to this track, and a great cohesive result

What a creative idea and excellent execution! Impressive how you always manage to make that much complexity sound musical and not chaotic. I'm convinced it's some kind of black magic.
