Cleaning out the basement this week and found my old shitty guitar. Noodled around a bit and then just started recording. I like the weird dissonant feeling these chords create. At one point I played around with adding rap vocals (sampled, def not my own) to the beat, and it was actually so sick--but I decided against it in the end. Overall I think this might be one of my favorite hip-hop type beats I've created, I think the melodies and ornamentation worked out well. I used the M8, Hydrasynth, and SP404. End of the year is almost here! Let's keep it going strong.

As always, great chopping skills and tasteful use of the guitar track.

Dude, this kicks ass SO damn hard. The ethereal vocal chops in the background, the glitchy ear candy, the ratcheting... It all comes together so incredibly. And the use of the guitar sample as the center piece here is so well done! It NEVER gets stale. Fantastic.

Man, this is really catchy! This sample chopping is soooo next level! Is this all on M8? I really like this the whole way through ... awesome, awesome work!

Thank you! Everything was arranged on the M8, yeah. But other gear I used was the Hydrasynth and SP404

helllll yeah. This is pretty sick. That bass coming in at :45, killer. Excellent ranjit sample chopping we come to expect. 1:45 it goes offff. Love that little line at 1:53. So much goodness in here. Glad you found that guitar and were inspired.

good to the last drop!
