i once challenged myself to write and record a SONG A DAY. here, doing weekly beats for the first time, i see how foolish i was in my youth.  anyway, this was the first song from that challenge (of which i made it about 11 days).  no recordings have survived, though i was able to find the initial scrawling of lyrics in an old notebook (along with the other "song a day" attempts.

ready to move onto something else for may

Man, song a day is brutal. I’ve done some other more intense challenges (and flamed out as well), but never ended up with gold like this. Another jangle pop banger, awesome track. Favorited smile

So good!
That chord shift at 1:45 ish was sublime.

I can't imagine a song a day. One a week is tough enough! big_smile

tysm! there's a guy here locally who actually made it 365 days (and had a kid in the middle!) he's got a reddit post with some interesting and similar takeaways to WB.  i could see revisiting song a day in the WB offseason, but not for a year.  maybe a month.

I think it's that "i would walk 500 miles" song that's three chords all the way through except one minor chord near the end, and remember thinking that's a neat little trick. it's my favorite part too smile

Instantly hooked! This is so good wow

Doing dailies in any kind of art is great, I think is an experience everyone should make at least once smile Anyway amazing track as always!! heart

That organ is super, and the vocal layering is very nice.
