Tried to do more of a rock song this time. Lyrics are kind of from a struggling musician who’s tired of people telling him to stop trying so hard.

Man, I love the storytelling in your lyrics. So evocative, really gets the struggle across, and I always enjoy how you turn a phrase.
The music supports the story so well - really liked how the drum beats feels like staggering with exhaustion, but is still unmistakably a rock beat. I also like how the chorus isn't a standard "lift" per se, but feels like another turn in the journey. Fits so well, great chord progression.
Vocals are fantastic as well - background is supporting, but so subtle, and lead has great emotion - totally carries the tired feel, but doesn't let the song down for lack of energy.
