Forbidden Fruit

I had a hard time this week. I pretty much hate everything about my song. It sounds like some number out of a Biblical off-Broadway musical. My guitar soloing skills suck so bad, I converted my shitty guitar solo into a midi track, then edited it note by note. It sounds like it's out of some early 90's video game. Anyway...on to the next week!

I don't think the song is that bad, there are interesting things in there that could be worked more and get a more than decent result.
I don't think you wasted your time with this song my friend, creating, recording and publishing a song in a week is always a success.

Be careful disparaging 90s video games around here wink

I think the verse riff and melody are cool. Harmonies in the second verse have an Alice In Chains vibe.

If anything, it feels more like glam.
Whether you believe glam to be awful is up to you, but this is decent glam as it is.

Biblical off-Broadway musical….LOL. Speaking as someone who worked for a time as a music director at a church and wrote music for services, I know the feel 😁

This is seriously not bad. Agree that it could use a bit more baking time, and the mix is rough at points, but the melody and riffs are good. Theological take on the lyrics was good too smile The solo section was good as well, I like what you did with it (although I wonder if you’re being overly hard on yourself as far as soloing smile ).
