Down to the wire on this one!
Sunday 🦑

Not happy with the mix, didn't multitrack and had some mistakes baked in.
The video mix is better btw. smile
Live and learn....

I'm a few weeks away from inviting beta testers to a midi routing app I'm building.
If you're interested email here [email protected]
I'll post a video soon about how it works.

It's fun to watch the process happening in the video.  This track is highly danceable, but I feel like it evolves in interesting ways and takes us on a journey beyond the dancefloor and off into space.

Love this, especially the guitar-like leads and those weirdly dub-style chord stabs... really clean, well balanced mix. Why do you think the video mix was better? Youtube compression? And how do you like your sub37?

The first lead that comes in is a little too loud in the uploaded mix vs the video. This is the first time that I was mixing with 5 minutes left lol. I dig the sub37 always inspiring to noodle on. I'd get a desktop verson of a grandmother, got no room for any more keys!

another slick groove from beginning to end. Love that squelchy synth and the break down midway.  Well done!

highly enjoyable and lots of wonderfully dirty sounds. favorite part is around the 2:30 mark - such a bop.

love your setup too btw

This was super fun, man. I'm liking the live performance stuff you're working on! Really gives the material a unique flavor. Great job!

I love these high fuzzy synth melodies! It sounds like they are having a conversation, or singing a long. This is robot music, in a good way.
The track has a sense of progression, with the break at 2:40. Very cool track.

Dark and gritty, very enjoyable when the melody comes in at 1:40. Very nice.

hellll yeah, what a groove!
those leads are so tasty, and that kick my god

You're getting good at this live jam thing, this feels pretty complete musically. Consciously arranged, I mean. I also like your choice of timbres that occupy different parts of the freq spectrum so they play very together.

The baked in mistakes sort of feel like glitches in communication, i.e. they work as artistic choice. As a famous oblique strategy card says "Honour thy error as hidden intention".

I love to see the magic happening in real time! Great dark feel to this one. Good job SQF!

I love watching you cook up a sick synth tune like an alchemical tech wizard. Great tune!

That kick is killin' it man.  SUPER groovy... definitely the kind of track you can't sit still and listen to.

Love the drum sounds in this one. Bass is also very cool, gets a cool moment to shine in that break at 2:30.
Amazing you're doing this in a live performance setting. I'd have no idea how to even begin attempting something like that. Don't know what the exact mistakes were, sounded awesome!

Those're some neat melodies.

fun!

Compelling beat, and neat reverb tail on those warbly synth chords! That lead's so sleek too. Awesome stuff! big_smile

good luck on the midi app!

i am bobbin and weaving to this beat

Perfectly executed. These are my precious moments listening to WB. Thank you sir.
