Continuing the sub 37 experimentation for inspiration...
I spent an evening just doing some sound design from scratch. I came up with the patch that begins the song and thought it sounded great and a little eerie with a bunch of reverb and tape echo.

Kept experimenting and really loved the sound of portamento/pitch slide on some of the patches I came up with and used one for the main melody that comes in after the drums kick out for a measure.

Modified some existing patches for the string section.
Added some other smaller melodies in the background toward the end.

Then next thing you know, I've got a song!

Really like how this one turned out, which is all one can hope for each week.
I hope you enjoy it too!

I really like the groove and atmosphere of this.  The opening ascending synth line really sets the tone and the subsequent synths that come in later build on the mood and elevate it even more.

Cool slides! Cool sounds! Cool song!

very much enjoyed! there's a great playfulness to this track and the sounds and melodies are really intriguing

Love the spookiness of some of the sounds, especially in the lower register. I also really like the higher melody that comes in at the end of the progression, such an effective turnaround and cool choice of notes.

Funny how you can suddenly end up with a song like that.

Moog crowd represent! Sounds awesome right from the gate, and then only gets better as you layer stuff. I like how this is both laid back and a bit menacing. For week 25 I'm also using all the Moog I've got big_smile

the synth design so good! they all sound great individually and together

Got busy the last few weeks and got behind on my commenting/listening. I always appreciate it though!

Yeah, I thought it was kind of a weird turnaround that just worked. Glad you agree.

Appreciate it! I'm starting to enjoy the sound design part of the process more and more.

Super chill. This one played through from the last while I was walking the dog and I forgot I was listening to weekly beats. Eventually I was like hey this sounds like SQF 😜
