Jealous Code W20

By SQF on May 19, 2024 12:07 am

Another M8 banger! Happy week 20 everyone!

Started out with drums and some extra percussion elements, some backwards hihats.
Added in some cool bass lines and some complimenting melodies.
I feel like this one builds well and some risers after the breaks added a nice touch.

All M8 internal sounds, I've been lazy and haven't been hooking up to any external gear while also eyeing all the cool superbooth stuff.

Looking forward to listening to your creations and responding to comments!

This is cool

This has a great sound.  The bass is big and the lead synths have great textures.  I was bobbing my head along to it.

that bass line is massive! excellent track
i don't know why, but i was seeing construction timelapse in my head while listening

I REALLY like all the places this tune goes. Very very satisfying. Weird in all the right ways!

Gosh that thing has better stock sounds than ableton it sounds like. The internal sounds are tasty

Awesome, glad to know I put the correct amounts of weird in it.

It's quite the powerhouse and easy to do your own sound design, even if you're using someone elses patch as a starting point and modify so everything sits right in the mix.

Ooof love the sound selection and the grittiness of those leads and rhythm arps..  Like they're razor sharp but smooth enough to flow nicely with the other elements. It feels like a master plan is coming together and building upon itself.  Takes me back to discovering the WARP catalog in the 90s smile  That first chord that starts the chorus is haunting.  Well done!

Wow, this really goes places! The drums are such a great base as things build and change. I really like the "competing" melodies near the end especially.

love the bass sound. i love how you are splitting up the rhythm section across a lot of frequencies and instruments. very lush. nice track!

Excellent, very brooding in a way. Not sure what the code is jealous of, but it's radiating the vibe well.

I really like the sound design on the percussive synths in this track.

Some real Warp vibes, I like how I had no idea where the harmony was going at first but then the different elements that stack up throughout the tune made it increasingly clear. Lovely.
