MOAR GUITAR!!
This is the most guitar heavy track I've done for WB.
I have a really great process going with the Digitakt 2 that makes it fun and easy to try some different riffs, mash a few buttons, try a different take.
The name of the song kind of matched the phrasing and the general vibe.

Not sponsored, though I wish I was but all the guitar parts are using this pedal.

It's the "Smashing Pumpkins" amp in a box, two amps, boost, reverb and some switches. You can really get a lot of different sounds out of this and it's literally an amp head as it can drive a speaker cab, 60W.
I've been loving it!!

Looking forward to another week of your tracks!

I'm FEELING this one, damn. Great guitar riffs all around, dude. I can't put my finger on exactly why, but some of the elements here remind me of Iron Maiden. I know, compleeeeeetely different genre and all. I think it's something about the guitar tone you got going with the concurrent harmonizing melody lines. Super dope!

Digging how the tracks build and layer up. The guitar lines at around the 1:55 mark <chef's kiss>

It's nice to hear some more of your guitar chops.  I like the tones you're getting out of it and the way the parts are layered is cool.

This track had me at Smashing Pumpkins. big_smile
Actually, this track had me at SQF. big_smile big_smile
Awesome getting to hear more of your guitar stuff this year!

really lovely tone - what a fascinating pedal!

hell yes, this rips

So cool, and very nice guitar work.

It really feels like you have captured some lightening in a bottle with this workflow... because I'll be damned if the last few weeks haven't been absolute killer tracks.  I love the emergent complexity from the layering, instant favorite.

That pedal sounds awesome! With the slick guitars, bass and laid back groove it gave me some Ratatat feels.  Love how the guitar sounds on those doubled notes for the melody \m/  Excellent work!

Oh i like that wah like riff, this has a great texture. You complement it nicely with other textures as well.

yo the guitar tone is ace

love me some SP

i'm into this chill-techno + fuzzed out guitars combo

this is some chips + salsa action my dude

great guitar tone and love the massive layering of guitars. matt bellamy would approve. Seconding Tone Matrix's comparison to Ratatat, absolutely see you easily making more tracks in that style based on this song and how well you pulled it off. Glad to see you didn't get caught in the trap I find myself in too often: one loop and bounce to weeklybeats. This never gets stale and keeps introducing new phrases real well.

Maybe because you are a Jedi and you didn't know?

Cool experiments with your guitars. Nice filter sweeps.

So cool. I feel I'll try to do a cool guitar centered track this week after listening to this. smile

That pedal indeed nails the sound. And you're using it well! All throughout the track I was hearing Sarah Jay Hawley vocals (she sang on Massive Attack's "Dissolved Girl"). There's just enough space left in your arrangment for this to be a full-fledged song like that. Consider this for your future work, of course not necessarily in the weeklybeats context where time is severely constrained.

Very cool track!

GREAT tones! And love the interplay between your layers here.

fun times, get git got dist. love.

lovely tune !!! good for driving!!! thank you for this!

Great workflow you have going here, the guitar sounds just lovely with the backbeat, great how it drives and is the centre piece of this entire track.  That part at 2:25 is so dope, had to rewind and listen again.

Looove how this is both heavy and chill at the same time. Guitar tone and playing are niiice, octave parts are a nice touch too!

Guitar sounds so good! I may ask you about sampling some of that. Bass line supports well. Sweet.

This guitar is awesome
