Your Fire's Out (WB05)

By spry on February 4, 2024 7:54 pm

Computer drums, live tambourine, classical guitar, bass guitar, vocals, and ahhhs. Chopped and looped what I needed to. Tried to keep the fx to reverb and a little delay and some panning. Compressed it up and limited it to volume. I think the mix turned out a bit better than last week with the drums being a little more present but you can let me know big_smile

I wrote the words to this song last year after a breakup. It's a little dramatic but it gets stuck in my head and I'm happy its finally finished ^^

Lyrics:

It was the last good day we had together
I was a mess, you weren't your best but
At least I held your had a while

You were afraid that day that the universe would turn me against you
But you're not very good at asking for help
So you got to work doing it by yourself

You're a burning hot stove
But your fire's out!
And its hard tell.
You'd think I'd have learned
My lesson by now
When I leaned there myself

I like the track. Your guitar sounds outstanding good in the mix. Well done. Sorry for that lost friendship.

Very cool! Old-school folk vibes. singing is from the heart, tasteful vocal harmonies. Nice composition.
