Another year begins!

This song came together in about 5 hours of work. Drums were sequenced in Ableton with about 2/3rds of the samples being from home made recordings of rocks, branches and other sounds. The thud for one of the bass drums was from a rock falling on my studio floor for instance. Also lots of clicky clacky sounding rocks big_smile

Recorded MS2000 synth bass (womp womp) and electric guitar to fill out the sound. Added some synths on top of that to fill in the top end and layered it up with reverb and compressors.

Looking forward to making lots of new music this year! This year I'm going to incorporate recorded sounds and perhaps collaborations as much as I can to fill out the sound and expand my horizons

Holy moly. That sub is so sweet!

Whoa, this has a cool vibe and the rattle-trap percussion sounds gooooood!

Some sub wobbling bass in this one!!   For rocks and branches this is epic :-o   Looking forward to hearing what you come up with this year.  Good luck!! big_smile

Welcome back, sounds like quite the scene down there.

Let's go WB26, welcome back.

Segment at 2:19 or so where the ghost notes join the steppy snare again and give it back motion is a highlight for me. For some reason the guitar lead is reminding me of an old FSOL song. I can't recall which.

5 hours?  girl u crazy spending so much time!  wink

glad you are WBing again - definitely feels like walking in the tunnel outside the nightclub - crisp and echoey, but a rocking guitar heard in the distance

HNY!
