The doomscroll is real

**EDIT: I tried something new with phasing on my vocal processing this week and it sounds great on my computer but it sounds like its in a hallway on my phone.. im going to have to figure that one out later**

Didn't have a ton of time to dedicate this week so I kept the instruments to a minimum. 2 DI Guitars (which didn't get any fx), DI Bass, computer bass/snare/hihat, finger cymbals and some vox. Not totally satisfied with the performances but its going to have to do this week!

Not knowing
Where were from or where were going

Feeling listless
Can we resist this
In an ordinary way?
Compelled to comment on
Swept up I'll come along
Convinced its giving us a say

Functional replacement
Maximal engagement
There must be some other way

Speaking to my soul on this one, lol. I waste so much time on my phone. My first time around on WeeklyBeats I had a great idea to set my phone in another room to stay productive but I haven't done that at all this year.

Really a beautiful song. Your singing is on the top this week. The bass and guitar are great as well. Thanks for sharing.

this is so good

also

this is so depressing

wonderful harmonizing

This song is in the sweet spot of (sad|funny) because it's true. Love it. Clever lyrics, great vibe to go with them.

Doomscrolling is the worst thing ever, this song however is definitely among the top things to exist.

The phone always comes back around one way or another. I've been tossing this whole paradigm around in my head for a while and I do think there might be a third way but I'm still working on it..

Thank you! This week did have pretty expressive vox.. I wonder how I can recapture that lol

Another accidental harmony! I stack my different vocal tracks and somehow the way I improvise tends to happen in parallel lines for whatever reason so copypasta is my friend!

I think there's something about happy music paired with melancholy lyrics which is appealing to me
