Decided to use my voice as the recorded sound source this week and despite my best efforts to keep things simple the song needed some more time to flesh out than I had anticipated.

Spent 20 minutes deciding on and adjusting instruments, 15 minutes building some basic patterns in the computer while I thought about what words to use (deciding to try to keep it simple lol), 30 minutes writing and figuring out some vocal lines and harmonies, 15 minutes recording them, about 45 minutes chopping the recordings into loops and matching harmonies, 45 minutes writing and sequencing additional accompaniment loops, 20 minutes massaging the fx on the different parts and adjusting the instruments, another 45 minutes sequencing the patterns into a song structure, 30 minutes mixing it and playing with the fx, and finally 40 minutes adding and adjusting global fx and master. Total work time about 4 hours.

Please do more tracks like this! Love the harmonies. Fantastic snyth choices almost reminds of Ladytron. Having that organic element in the track really brings a new quality in your music. Great job!

I find this inspiring to the point that I want to give this a shot sometime this year. I really like the idea of using your vocal samples to construct a song. I think this came out sounding great, gothy vibe.

Thanks! I am self conscious of my voice and this was a step out of my comfort zone so I'm glad you liked the vox and transitions big_smile
