A concept model

By Sorkfot on January 11, 2026 11:21 pm

Hello,
Thanks for the fine comments from last week! This week I put in more time, maybe 5 hours. The studio is still not fully hooked up, but I'm also hesitant to put things the way they were (for the last 3-4 years), becuase I want to evaluate what I really need and see what would be the optimal (sound quality) setup for my vintage romplers and FM synths.

This week I used Renoise to track with my new synth - the great Roland MT-32.
Then I recorded clean and lead guitars (Guitar rig 7). I used my Charvel Floyd Rose shredder.
I added a pinch of Yamaha SY99 EP and pad.

This is the first track in years with no Casio keyboard on it. sad I hope you don't mind. smile

Great track! Congrats on the new synth, looking forward to more of that one, with and without Casio. Listened low now in the night - will crank tomorrow.

That bass!

And some solid Guitars, you rock!

BAAM that bass 1 is awesome! Cool guitars and groove and modal impros! and seamless nice harmonies but on closer inspection they are fancy and elaborate!

heart Everything you touch turns Sorkfotian! Love the tune.

Nah, I don't mind
This slaps tho, definitely ready for prod
- Ebrit

The MT-32 sounds better than I remember it, but to my ears the real stars are those guitars: suuuper clear, funky, and bold  heart   (BTW it feels glorious when that final chorus around ~2:30 kicks in.)

Very vibey.

Smooth! Really got me nodding and bopping along
I'm really into the sparse bass here, it really funks stuff up

somehow reminding me of some Praxis stuff and maybe like Last Exit. cool guitar playing!
