Amber Hour

This week I tried an 8-note Mixolydian Bebop scale but probably did it incorrectly. Not using the extra note exclusively for passing notes introduces sad sounding harmony. Unexpected outcome. I wasn't even in a bad mood or anything, I was in a pretty good mood, but didn't want to waste the effort so I added a mini "Space Lion" moment in the middle and added a meme audio... oh, right, I found my audio cable, so those drums in the space lion part are from my phone. So I did try something new. I don't think Reaper has the same sync functionality that Ableton does. But all you have to do is manually match the bpm yourself and trim the silence from before you hit the go button... That and technically it's the first time I just added a random .wav file, but that's not hard or anything. I am sort of interested in manipulating those more, though, like by slowing down part of a .wav. I've been sitting on this funny instrument I want to use eventually too...

This has this really neat mysterious quality to it, and I like how it evolves over the course of the song. I dig the pitch drifting towards the end

multiple songs in one?
i like 2:10 when that warble is held

Your journey is as fascinating as your music.
