Storm Is Gone

This is the first track I'm actually singing in! No idea why that happened, I was playing around with the music and the melody and suddenly not only a singing melody came into my mind, but also lyrics! It wasn't even hard to come up with them. Very strange, because I'm usually having lots of trouble with that.
I would've needed another day to really make an awesome track out of this. Because I was struggling with technical issues the whole time, I couldn't make the vocal processing sound exactly like I wanted, and so it's still a bit off and out of place. Also, due to lack of time I had to export stems from the Deluge, and some of them had artifacts that sound like buffer underruns. No idea what's happened there, but I didn't have the time to fix them and so now they're still in the track … O_O
And the mix and the arrangement also isn't how I really want it to be. But: It's a track, and I've finished it, against all odds.
I really enjoy the 80s synthpop style I've chosen for this. Might make more like it in the future.
Let me know if you like my singing voice. Or if you don't! I'd love to have some honest feedback. You know how they say it's strange to hear yourself talk on recordings? I'm kinda used to that by now, but it's even stranger to hear yourself _sing_. Definitely not used to that yet.
Mild content warning for the lyrics: Personal struggle, mental health, trauma implied.
Composed on the Deluge, arrangement and effects in Ableton Live.
