Close To Simplicity

No matter how hard I try I can never keep myself from fiddling around in ableton, mixing, matching, effect cranking and re-recording almost all of my synths, gameboys and likewise, instead of properly learning how to produce a polished track from start to finish. Melodies and proper composition is coming in late in priority last minute and everything is sounding like a sloppy cassette demo from my teenage bedroom synth jamming sessions.
Tried to aim for some mario mathy sounding synth sound this time but I dunno...

Synths used: Yamaha CS01, MR10 and Gameboy for some  gritty drums. Rave Ejay samples used and processed in the pursuit of some legacy bounce.

The drums are a bit too gritty for me, but the rest is quite a delight.

The vocal like synth is fun. I like the pretty and whimsical high melody. Head bopping with a light heart to this one.
