Low on phat (a rushed one)

By laguna on August 7, 2022 11:58 pm

Some leftover sketch from 2014, that never went nowhere.

I had some time and some cool new gear, but a really close friend needed help with some family matter. Real life came, so maybe next week. I think there are a couple of decent sounds in here, maybe.

Everything properly rushed and unfinished in a really quick and dirty mastering session on Sunday evening smile

Do you wanna grab these drums, Drew? Feel free. I could cut the beats in proper stems for you to use. It's basically an overdiven TR-606 and an old drum'n'bass break slowed down. The 606 is sidechaining the other break, to create certain space.

The opening break is from a Spanish 90s indie rock band, an amazing woman called Christina Rosenvinge.

My friend's fine now, fortunately. He's got a chronic injury so he needed help moving around, driving and moving stuff around. He's always been there for me, so it was the least I could do.

I got a Behringer RD8, man!!! Finally I have "the Electro machine"!!! Hope you could hear it soon in full force.

That "Frontier psychiatrist" gif is mega cool. Really appreciated smile

I couldn't find a "choir of ghosts" GIF from that video, but this one will do, I think:
