Dearly Departed

This week was a very special collab to me. My girlfriend and I recorded a song that we love to sing on the acoustic guitar. It's a cover by the artist Shakey Graves. I wanted to put a little more of an uptempo sound to it, with a pop/dance vibe. I thought it was pretty successful. I am still struggling on recording vocals, but this is the reason I joined WBs..to learn. I am starting to understand the principles of compression, normalizing gain, etc.
This was her first time ever being recorded in a "studio." I think she nailed it!
On a side note, she also wanted to begin a weekly project for herself. She has begun to dive into photography and photoshop. Her intentions are to hopefully create a weekly photo along with my WBs moving forward. She created the image below.
