Try Not to Worry Too Much

By sandyMclandy on April 19, 2026 10:27 pm

I woke up this morning and programmed a little piece using fm synths on the m8.

I then took those patterns and changed the instruments on the m8 to be midi out.
Sent that midi to my trusty old Nord Stage ex. (Used to be my live keyboard).

It sounded very rigid and robotic so I messed with the tempo control via tables.
I messed with the parameters until it started to get close to sounding like maybe a human was playing it.
I routed the midi to organ, and two separate piano's on the nord so I could mix the left and right hand parts a little.
Then I manually played the sustain pedal while recording the audio from the keyboard.

interesting read about your workflow on this one. love the result and the build as more bass notes come in and then finishing off with blooming out at the end. great stuff

Sounds beautiful! Love the human feel in this.

really nice piece! and yeah, cool to hear about your process. those Nords seem really solid.

Sounds great. Quite like the switch at the end. Convincing me I need a piano to shoot midi to. I can't play well but I can sequence.

Alecia's keys for kontakt was my go to for piano sounds for years. It sounds really nice.

Thanks for the tip! I'll check it out.

I absolutely love the vibes.
