Lacrimae for a rat

By sad_infamy_sings on February 6, 2022 4:32 pm

saxophone embouchure: 2/100

started with uke, added alto sax which i havent played consistently for ten yrs, then added recorder which i play consistently, then jumped in with the lyrics last, quite unexpected, i didnt intend to add lyrics this week,— just wanted to showcase how weak my saxophone sound is right now in comparison to my flute, but i couldnt help it with the vocals, i hope they didnt distract too much. i hope to restore my saxophone playing ability this year. Maybe do some odd medieval jazz.

recorded ukelel and vocals with my rat, nickels, running around, might hear some sneezes because she’s sick, listen for salvaged squeak at the end

Really love how absolutely freeflowing and natural everything you make sounds. The alto sax I think works beautifully -- love when the first chords / harmonies form at the end of the first minute. I really like this one, and the squeak at the end is goddamn adorable. Get well soon to Nickels! (P.S. Super excited about the prospect of medieval jazz!)

Very tender and delicate. More medieval jams for 2022!

Honestly, the sax and the squeak are both really nice
