I looked at the book,
(it looked forsook), took the book,
took off like a crook.

A sequel of sorts to "study buddies" - a track I wrote toward the end of my first year in law school.

It feels like a ton of time has passed. So much has changed since then.
Anyway, Happy Week 5!

Beautiful mood!

Pretty!

wow, you are a lawyer?  amazing.  based on the quality of your work, I assumed you were a full time film scorer or something.

love this and the title

Thank you both!

That chord progression is so beautiful. Would love to take a look at the midi tracks sometime just to look at the voicings. And as always, your ear for choosing the right instrument for each part is impeccable.

The instrumentation on this is amazing, such a cool atmosphere.

I'd play this game, 100%.

Very sweet and nostalgic. Top notch instrumentation, love the flute and pizzicato strings.

Beautiful track - the layering is subtle and tasty. Meditative, peaceful. I like the choice of sounds, the suble mellow kick, the synths. Very nice.

Unreal. The sense of quiet, peaceful exploration, like travelling on your own through an empty country full of overgrown ruins. Sitting on an old, toppled pillar in the woods with the sun coming through the trees, before gathering your things and moving on. Love this.

Damn! Perfect sound and mix. Everything works so well together. Love the mood of this.

Thanks! Stuff like what you're describing is a huge part of why I keep trying to make music in the first place. Means a lot to hear you say the track reminds you of a scene like that! heart

Wow, this is super chill. I’m putting this on repeat.

Good God, this is beautiful. Great job, truly.

Grateful to hear it. smile Thank you both!

It has a xenogears vibe to me. Shevat style. Nice voicing for the choirs.

Thanks so much!

Beautiful track. First year of law school was 3 years ago? (Hard to know if SC upload time is same as release time.) Hope the changes are welcome: when I look back at grad school it feels like a different life I can remember but in some ways feel as if it wasn't mine.
