Butt Floss Freakshow

By Ryan on March 2, 2018 12:30 pm

My Name is Ryan and I like Surf Music.

There may come a day when the realm of glorious dripping reverb and tremolo-soaked twang is abandoned and a journey into uncharted musical waters must commence.

But that journey is for others, for here I will remain.

Surfing alone? I think not.

I will always have my cowbell.

If that's the future, I want no part of it.

Truly, a world without reverb like this is a sad one heart Perfect mix, perfect arrangement, perfect instrumentation and composition as usual heart

Never abandon your twang meng! The drums flow so well with the guitar.  Sorry if someone asked this before, but do you play the drums too? Your breakdowns are always intriguing too.  Great arrangement indeed!

Thank you muchly. Slowly but surely I feel my mixes are improving despite my absolute contempt for the process.

Thanks for listening and yes, primarily I am a drummer. Guitar is just a hobby instrument really.

How are you recording your guitar? It has a perfect twang while keeping the low end present. Great work!

Thank you. The guitar is just going directly through my antiquated Zoom Audio Interface into Guitar Rig 5 (which I have used for a while and really like). I am using a Squier Jaguar and I recently strung it up with really heavy strings (12-56 I think) which really thickened up the tone of the guitar which was naturally very bright and nasal. Thanks for listening!

Good times, this is fun track! And love that title. Just heard of you from The Guen's recent track. Nice to have some surf up in here. Makes me wanna dance crazy.

Guitar Rig 5 is a god-send. I use it exclusively, it is so versatile.

Yeah, you're really nailing the surf vibe once again.  Bringing it into the 21st century, if you will.  smile  It is nice to hear some different styles in WeeklyBeats for sure.

You are oozing salt water from every crevice.

As long as the present have enough reverb and twang to keep the future at bay I'm happy!
