Trying out MuseScore. I got StaffPad on iOS back when that was the new hotness and while the playback engine was indeed amazing I could not get into note input with the pencil - I think it took me like ten minutes to have "mf" recognized. Now Muse Group bought them, so I figured getting that score playback with software you can actually use would be gold. And yeah, writing the score's easy enough coming off Dorico, but I don't like how much finessing with the dynamics I had to do on the audio side, fading the stems in and out. Cool stuff, not gonna replace a proper DAW mockup, and I think for works in progress I still prefer NotePerformer. Oh well!
