Cast Lines and Broken Hearts

By Ruffian Price on May 22, 2022 11:32 pm

Regular downtempo style, with some lofi influence. Been hearing about "tethering" in chord progressions, the idea that you get the feeling of releasing tension when your chords share and exchange common tones, while adding tension comes from breaking that. So in this one there are two parts harmonically, each flows on its own but the switch from A to B is broken.

I like mood in here. very nice track.

A back and forth
The game we once played behind the living room chair
Closeness never found again
A game we shared in youth
Hidden, butterflies and laughs
Found only in our memories
Until a child is born
And twin has a new meaning

There's some strong emotions here.
