One Hand

By rplktr on November 24, 2024 7:22 pm

I welcome all critical feedback. Can relicense if needed, just ask.

I had other plans this time, but after my left shoulder arthroscopy I'm temporarily left with one functional hand.

140 BPM 4/4, C-minor. Made by layering KORG nts-3 kaoss pad on top of itself. No other sound sources or effectors. Mixed in Ableton Live.

very cool kaoss work, and one handed at that. Heal up!

This is such a curious combination of stark harsh glitchy tones with such warm and welcoming pads/drones. Very cool combo!

Also, sorry to hear about the procedure - I googled it and it didn't seem fun. Hopefully you'll soon regain use of both of your music making appendages! Wishing you a speedy recovery.

I love those deep wailing synth, it sounds like whales. Once i'm primed to think of whales, I imagine the slow pads in the middle to mimic the pace of waves and the high speed explosions here and there are sparkles of plankton under the moon. Nice evocative track!

Dude this is awesome!! So much space created, and it has a really nice intensity. Hope your shoulder/arm heals up alright!

This is dark AF. A metallic warehouse with no lighting what so ever full of nightmarish unknowns.

This is really good!!

oh dang, hope that shoulder heals quickly!
excellent otherworldly one hand creation here

What a wild suite of sounds, definitely a futuristic industrial/mechanical feel to me. For some reason the title and music had me picturing a scene/montage in a gritty sci-fi movie where an artificial arm is being built. Hopefully it doesn't come to this and your shoulder is okay.

Oh dang some other worldly sounds emitting from the Kaoss pad! yikes  always wanted one of those as they look so cool for some super fun fx.  Feels like an alien lifeform building something telepathically.

Thank you, I won't be entirely out of the woods for a few more months yet, but things are looking up!

Thanks! Looks like I can't count on "quickly", but there is progress. At least I got cool crosshair scars now big_smile

Haha, I hope it won't come to that either big_smile The prosthetic technology, as impressive as it is, is not quite there yet for a musician.

Yeah, same. The little one is quite affordable, so I got it. It's limited, but I like how tactile it is. Thanks for stopping by!
