A first attempt at something chiptune-y, fully done on the Dirtywave M8

I really like how futuristic the arpeggiated melody feels

Good first attempt!

this is really fun!

Woops, wrong thing on the clipboard!

The lead is a bit loud for my taste, but other than that...cool little track.

Appreciate that. I am still really bad at mixing. Especially since I tried to do all inside the M8 only made a bit harder, but that's my goal for WB, to improve over the year, force myself to make tunes and get feedback.

Honestly super appreciate that. For me it sounded okay, so any input of something being too loud or overlapping helps.

I agree with Nestrogen.  One tip I learned from Zirafa: when you are listening to your track, turn the volume all the way down until you barely hear it.  What stands out?  What disappears completely?  When I turn the volume down on this, the drums disappear and the lead stands out.  So you could either turn down the leads or turn up the drums!

But don't worry, by week 52 a lot of these things will become intuitive.

The chiptune sound is great, fun melody, great varied tones, and nice lively arrangement!  great job!

Oh, that's a good idea with the volume all the way down.
