M8 - Down and Out in the Underground Labyrinth

By roboctopus on January 16, 2022 8:39 pm

Missed week 1 because I didn't realize there would be a WB 2022. Oops. Going to try again this year, though I've never made it to the end haha. Always a fun exercise nonetheless! I'm on quarantine with omicron, so finding out there's a WB 2022 this week was fortuitous haha.

I started this thing awhile back and decided to buckle down and actually finish the thing. M8 only, internals synths, sampled drums, and a disco loop sampled from a city pop tune. Looped using the timestretch LFO trick.

I'm really happy with how this turned out. I'm hoping to use WB as a means to finish a lil M8 EP.

Happy 2022 everyone and I wish us all luck!

This is so chill and relaxing!  Creative use of the plucked and vowel synths

really love the melancholy vibes and all the arp action

always love your stuff dude big_smile great to hear you on the m8!

dang, this is a ride. really cool to hear how you used the m8 here.

I think that I may NEED a M8.
Great track! Heavenly arps

classic roboctopus vibes!~~

love that megaman snare you snuck in. well written, per usual from ya. this one is particularly moving

Very bubbly!

sweet!!!

great! new wave chiptune!

Oooo! Colorful and pleasant. I like how it takes its time. I get so stuck in the twitter vid length mindset, I forget tunes can just relax and develop naturally. Thanks for the reminder!

Okay, I guess I like songs made with the M8

This is fun

so glad you're back!

feel better soon, sorry to hear that sad

Welcome back anyway.

Get well soon and hope you get all the way to the finish.
