I tried to make this one more vapor-y I guess. Pitched the sample down to increase the haziness. I really like the results of this one!
Song is Surf City by Anri, and I have tried to sample it a few times and just couldn't get anything going, but I sat down with the Octatrack this week and chopped it fresh and pitched it down and something clicked.
I got a lil spicy and did two sets of the samples, one set with an extreme bass cut to simulate maybe working a high pass filter or a cut EQ on a DJ mixer, but this is pure LSDJ with no external effects.
Two Game Boys this week, though the second one is pretty light-handed. It fills out the low end in a subtle way and just kind of doubles up on some of the parts to fill out the stereo mix or do a bit of detuning. I am happy with this one.
