Can't Have The Fish If You Ain't Got The Jelly

By roboctopus on January 26, 2014 9:34 pm

I started writing another entry in my gut-wrenching song cycle about substance abuse and heartbreak in rural Appalachia, but got sidetracked writing this silly 1xLSDJ jam.  Could use more variation. I meant to record some funk guitar and tambourine but the deadline draws near.

that bassline is crazy good.  this song is totally screaming for some lyrics dude!

HNNNNNNNNG So awesome as always! Even silly songs have potential.

I like the structure of this track

amazing song title

good tags

music's alright I guess

for a song needing "more variation" you found a lot of little places to squeeze details into which is sick actually

What I meant by more variation was the fact that the main melody is copypasta, haha. I spent a lot of time on the bassline, adding glitchy sounds, echoes, etc., and kept meaning to work on the melody, but didn't get around to it.

Jelly? This is more like the JAM

Always love the melody progression you've got going on in your tracks! smile

Your melodies are always so catchy - they leave you free to do so many crazy breaks and chops. The bridge is lovely, especially when it builds back up with the kick...sweeeet!

best weekly beats track title so far. oh ya, the music is okay too i guess

Good work. Digging it.

Wow. Was going to pass on listening to this after the first 10 sec or so, but the complexity grew and by the end I quite enjoyed it. Well done!

Catchy! I think with some good lyrics main melody will become an earworm
