I went digging in my past folder of songs this week and this one really surprised me. I recorded this three years ago and I do not at all remember doing this... Which, to be honest, is a real treat. After so long I'm able to listen to the song like a stranger would and I feel moved by whatever the hell was going on in my life in January of 2021.

Yeah, the confusion of 2020/2021... I swear there's things I wrote in those times that I forgot about too :-o
I really love the portamento on the chords, and when the bass finally comes in and pulls it all together.
There's definitely something pretty cool about listening to one's own old stuff. Whether it's like "oh man I sucked" or "hey this isn't half bad", still a fun time capsule. In this case it should be definitely in the latter category - it's a really nice track! Definitely like the drums, especially that loud hihat-ish/noise burst that comes in now and then every few bars. Nice interplay of the pads and lead too.
