Msuic I ade :)

I made a song in about 10 minutes by recording stuff with my laptop's built in mic and recording software and then dragged it into reaper and rendered it at an ungodly bitrate. Next week I will make something better. Even though it's shit, making something at all is a humongous step for me!

Welcome to WB! The joy:effort ratio is off the charts. This is lots of fun, made me smile.

WEALCOME TO RIAH QUARTET!!1!1!!1! Love this, this was adorable and hilarious. Well played!

This had me smiling! you know you now need to warp and autotune this for next weeks submission right? nah, just kidding. Glad to have ya on board!

and then the battery di..

This is genuinely brilliant and had me smiling like a weirdo. I love it!

Life gave you msuic, and you made msuiciade. What could be better?
Welcome!

this is too real

Teach me!! This whole process is about learning to use the tools of the trade. The reason it's like this is because I didn't know how to get reaper to take my laptop's built in microphone input. I want to see how far I get get with the tools I've already got (A laptop, a midi keyboard, and an M8, and most importantly my voice!) I know that's way too much to chew at once so my main focuses right now are just getting familiar with reaper and getting comfortable with making compositions regardless of their quality.

I have a really big propensity for high effort shitposting so regardless of if I'm making "good" or "bad" music (I will be doing both) the main goal is just gaining fluency in the creation process itself.

I'm excited for what the next year will look like!!

Ah, reaper! Not sure if Reaper has a warp function like ableton has. But you could cut up your vocals and use them to make a beat synced phrase (like a trippy breakbeat or something) I do know m8's have the ability to BRK BRK, so you could also throw it in there and play around with it.

I love your journey, it's so fun to just experiment and learn the tools. You'll be amazed at the difference between the beginning and the end of the year.

Many people don't know this, but this is actually peak WeeklyBeats.
