Gazer (Ordasi)

By rdomain on January 11, 2014 5:43 am

This is the first song written in over 7+ years for Ordasi! (my industrial project).  I went to put vocals on it but I found it detracted from the 'delicate' layers of sound/noise.

Baritone telecaster was used for the guitar tracks and the modular synth was used for the noise/feedback melodies.

Guitar sounds awesome, great sounding mix overall too. Awesome work dude.

the mix is so heavy, punchy. The drums are THICK. Good job.

Dat guitar tone. The noisescapes are righteous too.

Thanks guys!  The baritone telecaster is specced with Suhr pickups and piezo pickups too.  Does the trick!  smile
The mix was kept fairly simple.  Just going for a super big and heavy sound yet with some space in the mix still.
The noisescapes are all from my modular synth.  Love that thing.   big_smile

Nice. Could have used this a few months back when I was looking for dirty guitar instrumentals to work to. Dig the noises running underneath.

Loooove the sound of this guitar.   What strings are you running with this?  So lush.

Cheers jimmythemagnet!

Thanks cTrix!  I can't remember what brand strings tbh.  I think it was a custom set as it's currently set up with a wound G.  I dropped the low 'E' down a tone for this track too.  It's usually C standard so Drop Bb  smile

Great.

So heavy but great once again!

This is sweet! You're not going to pass on black metal week are you? O_O

wonderful track, the guitar sound is amazing and heavy!

Thanks for listening everyone.  Appreciated!

Lyons - hehe.  I'm tempted but i've currently got a decent splinter wedged under a fretting fingernail.  Painful.  Maybe that will create authentic BM.  hehe..

Great track! I really like how the guitar sound and noise elements work together.

Thanks Plantrain!

Excellent wall of sound/noise, the tempo works well for the notes/noise to shine through. Now I have to try something with my blacktop baritone telecaster as well. %u2026but first a track with my C64, or perhaps one with C64 and baritone%u2026hmm so many choices.

the mix really kicks in your face! Excellent work!

Cheers Henrik.  Crank the baritone tele!!  \m/

And thanks for listening Perplex On.  I'm glad you enjoyed the kick in the face  smile

badassery! baritone guitar! noise! love it!

Thanking you Mr Bowles  big_smile

Massive low end! Nice!

Tasty.  I've got my seven string set up to A-Standard right now, so can't wait to get heavy with that thing.

Stoked to hear your Black Metal track.

Thanks for listening encym and LowbrowAnthony.  Glad you all enjoyed!
Definitely fire up that 7 string.  I've got 2 lower register guitars to go.  I'll try incorporate them into one of my tunes over the year.  A 7 string with wacked out tuning and my beautiful 8 string.  heart

I've got a feeling you're going to like my black metal track Anthony.  I have to say I'm pretty stoked with how it turned out!  \m/

Pfwoar.  THAT tone.  I love it .

Awesome.  Thanks Tristan!

This is great--excellent guitar tone and progression.  Definitely works as an instrumental.  Well done!

Thanks for the feedback.  Appreciated!
