STRAY

I've been working on getting the trance sound in lately. Some days I feel like I am making progress and some I feel like I still have no idea what I am doing. Usually I can either make a nice bassline or a good melody, seldomly they fit together. Can't really put my finger on why. Many projects have been scrapped this week.

Started fresh on this track today. Pretty happy with the bass but I would have wanted to put a lot more effort on the melody and arrangement. They are very rushed. Still though, for each track you learn something new.

Great progressions, love the call and response parts, and interesting enough to get me through the full 7-minutes smile nice work on this one!

"rave in the ice castle as the sun is slowly rising and your whole world is melting away in front of you" type beat

This is a great trance track! Keeps building and has enough movement to keep momentum through the whole thing! Very well done!

This is exactly what I needed to hear tonight. Washed right over my ears and lifted me right out of a moody funk. Really beautiful and inspiring stuff! big_smile

Keep it up this is great!!

I don't know what you wanted trance to sound like, but my brain had the same reaction of "well now it's either time to zone-code or work out, but either way you've got to do SOMETHING."

In Weeklybeats, these are both features, not bugs tongue

Thanks for managing to listen through it all (and actually enjoy it!)

Maybe that's how I should title the track in the coming weeks..

Nice to hear that you didn't feel like it is too repetitive. Thanks!

You're right about it being features rather than bugs. Being "forced" to upload regularly really drives stuff forward. Glad you enjoyed it.

hell yea, good power in this
