tuesdays gone

Here is another outtake from the session with Günther. I was playing a little bit on the guitar and made some drones with my pedals at the same time. Günther was controlling the Rhodes in a masterful brilliant way. I almost let his part roll all through, just added a few intruments in the end. I think the song does not need more stuff to get better. The EQing and mastering was not easy, because when I normalize with ableton while rendering, the mix and everything seems to change as well. I do not know what to do anymore.
and you are welcome to listen to the WilCOx-Gay RAW-CaTS recordlathe version, too.

Woah, always enjoy your guitar work. Excellent sparseness with tasteful textures throughout. Well done friend

An excellent jazz track. Just beautiful!

It's hard for me to say whether this quotes the Lynyrd Skynyrd track. The theme's not there, but I'd risk saying some of the feel is shared.

I am sorry to say, there is no intended relationship to Lynyrd Skynyrd musically, but the title really evokes it could. It is related to the Tuesday jam I had 2 weeks ago and I wanted a connection to it in the title.
Anyway, thank you very much for listening and giving me that nice feedback.

Love the sound of the rhodes throughout this.  The guitar with the drones give such a pleasing hazy quality to the track. Some of those rhodes chords hit extra nice too.  Love those extra bits and bytes around the 3min mark with the guitar.  Daily meditation achieved, thank you smile

another magic track from Q-Rosh (and Günther). listened to this beauty in headphones while i was making coffee today (2 rounds, btw smile )
a lovely time capsule. your guitar was literally singing in parts, and that Rhodes....

you came up yesterday when emily and i were on a walk. i asked if she was familiar with this concept of tuning to 432hz instead of the usual A440. she said, "i bet Q-Rosh might have some thoughts about that."
and then we were talking about how you seem to have devoted yourself to helping others feel better - both through the work you do, and also through your music.

this new track makes me feel better - emotionally and physically. thank you, Q-Rosh

I really enjoyed your comment. Thank you very much. I am not an expert, but it is easy to find 432 Hz information and music on YouTube. Has has something to do with the Schumann-Frequency and the pineal gland. However, have good week.

I always enjoy seeing where your sonic journeys will take me.  There were parts of this where I felt like I was in a dark smoky jazz club and other parts where it felt like I was submerged in a warm bath and still other parts where I traveled to another world entirely.  But across the board it feels comforting and warm.

That was splendid! And it went by so fast! I love both of your playing and the nice effects and seamless arrangement you did.

Stunning peaceful music, another great collaboration between the two of you, always enjoy the result and appreciate the effort of all the little intricacies you introduce in your tracks each week.  Multiple listens are always required to catch all of  them.

A journey! Love the dynamic conversation between the guitar, the rhodes, and the ambient textures.

Ahhh, so nice, thanks for this minutes of calm contemplation. Sounds to close the eyes and dream with, or meditate upon the fall colors appearing outside the window today. The drones seem a key element. The rhodes an guitar having some conversations with us and the sax posing new questions. Many good details here to wash over us. I have found with Weekly Beats that when I start making music on a Tuesday, its usually a song I'm happy with, so Tuesday is special.

The Rhodes playing is so brilliant. Delicate and subtle. Like little sparks of light. I like the very organic nature of this track (and all your tracks in general), where they feel like wandering into the wilderness, discovering secret paths in the forest, enjoying the scenery. Maybe taking a break by an old tree and listening to the birds. These tracks have a soothing feel, they invite the listener to take a seat and breathe deeply.

Beautiful. Mysterious and melancholic, something slowly appearing, little by little

Rhodes and guitar a match made in heaven, love this collab the output sounds like you guys had an epic session as it really comes through the music!

Very well balanced. You got so much expression from minimal instrumentation. Masterful!

gorgeous

I agree with you that it does not need any more to it. Between these two instruments it creates this intimate space, which could be floating in the dark, in a jazz club, or by a fireplace in a fancy lounge. Or just floating in someone's head. Very good output from both musicians!! And it works so well together

So dreamy and relaxing to listen to, really well played by both of you. A lovely way to start my morning smile
