still hot

By Q-Rosh on March 17, 2024 1:51 pm

This week was surprising in good and bad directions. the bad thing was an ugly cold with unpleasant headaches, the baked GPU of my macbook pro 2011 died again after a few days and the headgun (to bake my motherboard again) exploded and became unusable. My 2 GB sandisc SSD suddenly got deactivated and I had to go to the osx-terminal and learn the commands to fix it. Then I put the motherboard completely into the oven, with 210 degree Celsius and baked it 4 minutes. After reinstalling it, the macbook did run again. The new Aeros loopstudio arrived the same day and I could test it out with the secondtime reborn macbook. this is the result.

Sweet sweet textures Q-Rosh!

i'm really impressed you can make such peaceful and connected music in the midst of illness and tech failure. one would never guess! i didn't see the second half coming and i really enjoyed the more rhythmic section. the texture is beautiful as ever, nicely done

This is peak relaxation music.  Calm and soothing with a lot of interesting sounds for the ears to chew on.  Hope you feel better soon!

this track is gorgeous - i'm not sure what kinda kitchen witchery you are doing but this is a magic track

love this so much, great sounds, the piano is just perfect. Hope you don't get any more tech problems

this song is a gift. thank you, Q-Rosh.
i'm sorry you had such a rough week and hope things will only improve.

I wonder if this is the kind of advices that the apple customer support team gives to their customers. "your computer is not booting? Please put it into the oven at 200C for 30 minutes, please make sure to turn mid point and serve with olive oil and mash potatoes".

I always enjoy the textural details of tracks. Here these are the small vinyl scratches that feel like small sharp pebbles while the piano and synth are very smooth. The inverted layers here and there add to the track and keep it fresh. I like that raw beat that appears mid point. Beautiful track.

Such nice tones and textures, great music for the evening, like those filtered head nodding beats in the middle.

Triumphant, headaches are the worst, I know exactly what you mean. Very meditative track, great pace and textures, that stutter/granular effect reminds me of mutable instruments clouds.

Delicious cookery! I always remember this saying in times like these: good art comes from suffering. joke or not, up to you.

beautiful textures. in the first 5 seconds I'm already feeling at peace.

original and experimental beat halfway. I would have expected a lofi study/relax style one that matches the piano. this one felt like a crazy dude sat in with the band, showed off some effects, saw it wasn't really his jam, and left.

Despite all setbacks, you baked something nice

You turn technical issues into magical ideas.  I just throw my mouse when that happens tongue  Love the sound of the piano.  Maybe it's the baked description but it has a sort of playing on tape that is slowly getting unwound and degraded.  The beat that comes in restructures it and puts it back together.  Soothing and contemplative as always with your music.  Thank you heart

Damn, I need to do backups as I don't want to need cooking my laptops!!! lol

Super cool that you can get back some of the material you worked 10+ years ago.

Beautiful pianos. Nice "vinyl" textures. Smooth ambiance!

I'm feeling calm and cozy listening to this. Warm. But maybe I'm also thinking about toasty ovens and bread now too. Lovely melody repeating and great textures. Great relaxing mood, thank you. Nice beat coming in. that was a surprise, and I like it. Like something in the warm bread, some garlic and rosemary. Cool you got the aeros looper, can't wait to see what you think.

wow. right from the very start this is my kinda vibe. rich full sound, envelops like a warm blanket. i could listen to this on loop. thank you for this beautiful music

UGH i'm getting so triggered reading your computer stuff.  my computers are from 2012 and i'm getting nervous

i back them up regularly!

i've listened to your more recent music so i guess they are still going!

i love this track, especially the hiss and crackle.  did you add that or is that from a sample?  i am all about hiss this year.  this is my "hissy fit" year.  ha ha, i am going to name a track "hissy fit"

bumper sticker?

i actually really appreciate the confidence of making this a 7min track.

sometimes i feel like everyone is busy and i feel like they're not going to listen to more than 2 minutes of my work, but that's not reason NOT to make the work longer if the work requires it

downloaded and favorited and this is perfect on a cold rainy day like we are having right now in wisconsin
