I am in Puerto Rico this week and next so I decided to try making some Reggaeton. ChatGPT helped me write Spanish lyrics. After listening to and translating some reference tracks, I've learned they are far too PG to be passable 🤣
The rhythm is called a "dem bow" and I found the bass to be the trickiest part. My hip-hop 808 doesn't quite sit right but in the 30 or 40 minutes I spent I couldn't get anything working better. Also had a hard time getting the iPhone mic vocals working though I know it is very very possible.
