Over Yet

This one came down to the wire. Started with a cool acoustic chord progression and then strung it into the epic drop/hook. Added a pre-chorus last but spent much time trying to get decent lyrics down.

Overall the beat probably had a lot more potential, I plan to revisit it for sure.

Dug the acoustic guitar.

The brass, swells, and drumkit all worked really well together.

The outro that carried on parts of the chorus was a nice touch

I really like the sound of the acoustic guitar paired with the voice. The vocal sound is dark, and the acoustic has some lo-fi clack to it. They complement each other brilliantly. The verse goes on a little longer than I expect. There's a subtle little hi-hat hint that there's more to come. Too subtle? maybe. But it did subvert expectations in a pleasant way when it didn't drop right into a chorus at the first opportunity. Really dug the island feel during the chorus. cc: chorus vocals louder!

Yeah! The brass and synth chords really take the acoustic/vocals to the next level!

Thanks! Felt like it was the sort of song to end with more chorus

Yeah the second verse is longer than first verse, and one of the two acoustic layers on the first pre-chorus uses the verse audio so that was a mistake.

If I had more time I would have spent it making the pre-chorus lead and build in a little more but ran out

Acoustic guitar with autotune is a really weird vibe. I'm curious what happens if you flip that.
