A word

Technology was not on my side this week. Somehow the macOS "voice isolation" feature in Sonoma, which is apparently a setting you toggle in the menu bar per-application that affects all the audio going into it, was enabled causing my vocals to sound weird and nothing else to track. Cost about an hour but I cranked this one out very quickly. Would not have happened without the weekly beats pressure but glad it did, turned out alright.

Feel free to roast.

Wow that breaking apart synth coming in at around 2:30 was great.

You leave us nothing to roast. Love the vocals. Sounds very polished.

I like those pianos and the percussive elements.

With that much processing the vocals works allright! Which tuning plugin are you using? I like the autotune fx sound on this one.

chill beat, enjoyed the listen!

Percussive elements dance in this one. Good job really making them snap. Mix feels good.

Thanks! I’ve been playing with variations in the vocal chain. I believe this one is a pretty aggressive tuning and vibrato reduction with Logic Flex Pitch (happen to have a copy I use just for that nowadays) and then I think there’s an ableton Autotuna on top which I find has a pretty aggressive t-pain sound. Think it’s dialed back on the dry wet so there’s an extra layering going on there. Other tracks esp if I’m lazy I just through it through the Autotuna and everyone says “you sound like a robot maybe try not doing that” 🤣

Also use this free ableton M4l plugin harmonizer6 that is a ripoff of Antares Harmony engine that is also very roboty

Thanks! It was “wistfulness” the word itself didn’t really fit the vibe I was going for in the song hahaha
