The Shape of Yesterday

By Phil Harmonic on January 4, 2026 7:34 pm

Just some speedtrash for week one. A sortof wistful jaunt into nostalgia and the past. Welcome back everyone!

Speed treasure. Speed TREASURE. 🙃

Seriously, this is a wickedly cool start. Looking forward to another year of certified Phil Harmonic bangers!

Love the fills, Phil (pun intended)

great start of the year man!

agreed on the fills, hard not to love that tom sound. the whole thing is fantastic too. I was already boppin along to synthwave town, but the line around 1:20 just took it to another level. hopeful vibes.

Kinda looks like a square from this angle.

This a beautiful song. Your production is super clean. Keep bring quality like this. This is dying for a vocalist.

Love the drums in this one. I agree with Cakes, some light airy vocals would go down a treat with this track.

I hear '80s toms, I like. As simple as that. And the entire track's got exactly that neon "idealized 1980s that never were" sheen. If this is your definition of speedtrash then I hope you treat us to more high-velocity garbage like this. It ticks so many boxes for me! No notes, five stars.

This really has the shape of yesterday, wish it was longer, super catchy!

This is giving ABBA for me (huge compliment)
