UKE ATMOS

By PeterM on December 15, 2024 6:01 pm

I revisited the idea of making a plucky track using real plucky instruments again this week. I sampled my ukulele using the M8 internal mic, and then tried to turn that into an ambient bed of plucky comfort. So it's ambient and plucky and spacious, and I like where it is headed. Besides the uke samples, everything else is M8 internal synths.

very chill, nice pluck samples. I like the other ambient synth layers you added.

wow, this is so NICE. those plucks marry with the M8 synths perfectly. lovely use of reverb to help create this floating magic world
i think someday i will figure out a sampling situation. tracks like this def give me inspiration

I like how it's soothing but there's a slightly mysterious vibe to it.  Almost like soaking in a spa at the mouth of a dark jungle or something.

JESUS.... This song started and it hit me SO INTENSELY, holy crap!!!! Dude, this rules so hard!!!! The plucks give an air of mystery while the synths make it sound ominous, airy and even alien at times. THIS IS INCREDIBLE!!! Amazing job, seriously.

This sounds massive and enigmatic and profound and ambient, so I guess... 🎉YOU NAILED IT🎉

Great playing and tracking, btw.  The expressiveness of those delayed electric guitar-ish bends at 3:03 is particularly ear-catching

Thanks so much everyone for the very kind and thoughtful comments this week! It means a lot and it always makes me smile to read them.

Cheers,
Peter
