PRELUDE OPUS 28 NO 20

I tried another Chopin cover again this week as I knew I was going to be a bit pressed for time. I was planning to do more arranging and have a gradual introduction of the main theme, but, like I expected, I ended up being pressed for time. So it's just a basic arrangement and I didn't do too much with mixing up the instrumentation, but I did spend a decent amount of time inputting all the chords. I used some FM synth, some Hypersynth, and some resampling of 4 tracks down to 1. A lot of that work ended up getting a bit lost in the pads, but I think I was worth it in the end.

Overall, I'm not super thrilled with the result. I'd like to mix up the sound design a bit more. I'm finding the "trance" lead kinda repetitive and also the filter sweep on the main melody part could do with some variation.

But, it's done and uploaded on time so, what more do you want? wink

Everything was just M8 this week as far as synths go and I did lean heavily on some of the presets that folks have been sharing on the Discord server.

See you next week!

This is super duper cool!!!! Dancy, yet also classical! Hahahahah... I know I've mentioned this in a couple other folks' songs throughout this year, but this tune really reminds me of the soundtrack to Kubrick's "Clockwork Orange". Also Crypt of the Necrodancer, because it feels kinda spooky and ominous, hahahaha... Great job overall!
